R1 n5 Liquor 6th run for prep off 21 days and up 3kg weight and back 110m in distance. Leads inside on map. Held up on turn when 5th beaten 0.8L at $3.50 in a swoopers race 1110m on Soft 6. This class and distance and Wheelers claim back on dry track make her clear top pick. Has VG record this track/distance and her previous two figures this track and distance win this race clearly.
R4 n9 Fumiko 2nd up off 22 days and -2kg weight +200m distance. Gets well back on this map. 2nd run here for Gollan stable and charged home last start resuming at 1000m on unsuitable Soft 5 at 1000m. Much better form on dry ground and T Gollan has the magic with these Sydney horses who have been struggling for wins down there. Not much depth to this race and Maloney a key booking and dry ground.
R5 n7 Sunfall Resumes off 161 days and good trial Nov 23 behind Sailors Secret. Sits forward on map and well suited there this tempo. Astute stable and he has been well backed since markets opened on Wednesday. Good fresh stats and all form since coming to QLD has been VG. M Harley has won on him last prep and he is a key booking resuming. Gets map advantage over Perfect Mission and very hard to beat.
R6 n7 Sha Of Gomer 6th run for prep off 28 days and +3.5kg weight. Gets perfect map right behind speed in 1/1. Likes this track, 1400m and J Orman another plus. Is well placed in BM78 class v these rivals today despite the 58kg. Overall figures consistent without being good, but they won’t have to be to be winning this race. Clear top pick and positive gear change.
R8 n9 Abounding 3rd up off 14 days and -1.5kg. Sticky map early MF and wide (-a decision will have to be made there early) Was off a 35 day break leading into last run at Doomben when 2nd and smashed in betting late ($1.90) but she ran into a very fast run race and was beaten by a longer priced swooper late who was on a 7 day back up and suited off that crazy tempo. Prepared to forgive her that loss and still think she is a stakes class filly. Map some concern but she will be very hard to beat here with any sort of luck early in the run.

R2 n2 Vegas Outlaw 5th run prep off 21 days and sets up well this race. Will be ridden closer today off this tempo and should sit 4th 1/1. Flying this prep for red hot stable and last 3 wins all at 1600m at 3 different tracks/surfaces is a clear indication of just how well he is going. Buckley comes to Town for 2 rides (the other is $81) is also very significant.
R5 n1 Emperor 2nd up off 39 days and winning trial at Ballina Dec 4 1010m. +1.5kg weights but still well placed here as BM80 with 59kg. Maps well back MF and on OS this tempo – will explode late ridden quiet here. Just better horse than these and has plenty on them.
R9 n3 Time to Boogie Resumes 105 days and 2 trials 740m. Will have residual fitness adv over Squad off this set up. Good map right behind the lead and looks better than these- 1000m fresh off this set up is ideal and well placed BM78 class- he will win lot better races than this.

R4 n8 Running By 2nd up off 17 days and 5kg and +200m- ideal set up. Maps ok forward early to get a spot on speed. Resumed and huge behind South of Houston. Closed off hard in VG figures off 242 days there and now had 5 career starts and all figures have been excellent. Really progressive mare and has boom Irish jockey to ride and better than these.
R9 n9 Dubai Poet 5th run back off 39 days and -2kg stays at 1400m. Leads and controls inside for J Kah with blinkers on and won’t get a better opportunity to be winning again than here -this race is devoid of dangers for him. All runs are spaced but all are VG for this class of race today and the map up front is ideal.

BEST BET: R3 n9 Jenchick Boom First starter from the strong Tony Gollan stable who looked very good in a recent Deagon barrier trial and in a race lacking depth, looks the winner.
BEST EACH WAY: R4 n11 Inspired Dream Had no luck when trapped wide the whole way last start and previous form okay for this. The step up in trip suits and has the speed to cross these, will take running down with the light weight and looks a nice each way bet.
