BEST BETS

R7 n5 DEVASTATE Positive early from wide draw to be on speed. 2nd up off 21 days and stays at 1400m. Resumed off 182 day spell in a Listed Sunshine Coast race, drew wide went forward on a very fast tempo to sit 21a and was brave late for 4th beaten 3.2L by Elettrica who was super impressive winning that day. Draws out but should cross early for A Jones without too much fuss and now in first full prep for T Gollan. Sets up well this class of race with the gear change and overnight rain a bonus for him, he loves the Soft.

BEST BETS

R1 n3 REVELARE Positive early on map from draw to be on speed. 5th up off 14 days rises 3kg and out to 2000m (+200m). Last start BM78 Sandown when on 7 day back up went back to midfield 7L off leader on a very fast tempo and began run home from the 800m to win impressively in fast time and overall figure was excellent. His closing speed off that tempo was high quality. Really progressive young stayer well suited out to 2000m and this big track should suit him ideally off this map. Keen he wins again.

R3 n3 FANCIFY Leads and controls on map. 2d up off 14 days and well suited out to 1400m (+200m). Last start resumed off short 83 day break Group 3 Sandown led on an even tempo and kicked hard in straight before running 2nd to She’s Bulletproof who was freakish late beating her. Her closing figure there off that tempo was excellent and loves Flemington 1400m. Big strong mare a lot fitter today 2nd up with leading SA jockey riding him for the first time.

BEST BETS

R3 n2 PALLATON Forward early inside from draw behind leaders. 2d race start off 56 days and closed off strongly late for 3ra in 900m Rosehill trial Feb 3. Debut 2YO Randwick G4 sat 4th early on an even tempo got into clear at 200m and put them to the sword winning easily by 2.8L. He was very strong to the line there with outstanding closing figures for a young horse on debut, was well backed and margins were excellent. Looks a genuine talent.

R4 n1 YORKSHIRE Positive early on map from draw to be 4th in 1×1. 4th up off 14 days out to 1600m (+100m). Last start BM88 Rosehill out to 1500m sat 4th on a fast tempo 5L off leader and had clear run home winning easily 0.9L at $1.55. Overall race rating was best of meeting and while he did have a perfect run and ride to win, his L200m figure there off that tempo was excellent. Ready now for 1600m and claim is significant today staying in BM88 class. Looks winner again, just needs to be ridden properly early.

R5 n5 JOLIESTAR Maps back near last early on slow tempo in small field. Resumes off 105 day spell and two very impressive trials. They don’t trial much better than what she has been doing. Resumed here Group 3 last prep off 133 day spell with lugging bit on-sat back 7th early on a very slow tempo and blew the clock apart late winning by 2.9L in freakish closing figures. If she repeats that today she will be winning easily again despite the tricky slow map. Very keen she wins.

 Race 2: 3,5,9,4 Race 5: 7,8,1,3 Race 8: 6,4,11,7
 Race 3: 1,2,10,3 Race 6: 10,2,7,8 Race 9: 14,3,9,11

BEST BETS

R4 n5 BOLD HERO 3rd up off 21 days rises 2kg out to 2000m (+200m). Really progressive young stayer coming off two dominant wins so far this prep. Last start sat back 7L off leader 3 wide with cover on a brutal tempo before running on strongly late to win impressively. His figures from that race were outstanding and looks well suited out to 2000m today after closing off strongly late. Keen he wins again.

BEST BETS

R6 n16 TICKLE MY TOSEN Comes here 2a up off an eye catching run when made good ground late for 4th beaten 1 length at Doomben over 1200m behind Wanganeen who has won again since. Will strip much fitter and this this looks a touch easier. The step up to 1400m is ideal and can see him running over the top of these late to win.
