BEST BETS

R2 n1 IVERSON Forward early behind the leaders and suited. Deeper into prep off 14 days and stays at 2200m. Last start Eagle Farm BM78 was 1830m-2200m off 21 days drew outside sat back 9th on an even tempo and ran home late for 2nd to Habeebah beaten 2.1L. Overall race figures were very good and he had dominant closing figures for that race off what was a tough map. Start prior overcame traffic issues to win with again dominant closing figures at Eagle Farm beating Kronenbourg (won since). Racing much better without the blinkers and clear top pick today off a lot better set up map/distance wise. Ryan Maloney has first ride on this horse and will suit him, looks the winner.

R7 n8 JUST PRECIOUS Gets well back inside on map. 2d up off 15 days drops 3kg and suited out to 1200m (+200m). Resumed in Maiden at Sunshine Coast off 128 days was slow out sat 7th 4L off leader in an awkward spot on an even tempo and ran home strongly out wider to win late by 0.8L. Her closing figures there were outstanding with dominant L600/400/200m for meeting. It was a quality win and she didn’t have a lot of favours in the run. Well bred filly suited out to 1200m today.

BEST BETS

R8 n6 REVELARE Map suits forward early behind leader. 4*h up on 7 day back up drops 1.5kg out to 1800m (+200m). Last start 3rd up off 27 days BM70 Sandown Lakeside sat 3rd on a crawl speed tempo and won narrowly beating Sir Atlas by 0.3L at $1.80. They went out close to 32 lengths slower than benchmark to the 600m in that race which is incredibly slow, it was like a barrier trial, and he was brave late when challenged by Sir Atlas. Backs up quickly off a great map and is a very progressive young stayer well suited in BM78 class.

R10 n7 LETHAL THOUGHTS Map suits forward inside behind lead group. 3d up off 14 days and stays at 1400m. Last start Flemington 2nd up was slow away (1L) sat back midfield 7L off leader on a very fast tempo and ran home well late for 2nd to Is It Me beaten 1.8L when well backed at $7. Overall race figures there were dominant for meeting and his L600m was huge off a fast tempo. Not a regular winner and needs to jump cleanly from inside draw but is flying and looks better than these.

Race 10: 8,15,18,12

BEST BETS

R2 n9 POCKETING 3P Back on outside on map. 4th up off 31 days drops 5.5kg back to 1350m. Ran 2nd 1030m trial when sat out wide and cruised up to them in straight under a hold. Last start Canterbury restrained 5th inside 5L off leader/winner on an even tempo and was then held up until the 200m but very strong to the line for 21d to Oh Diamond Lil who led and controlled and was excellent next start. He should have finished closer there and his closing figures were dominant for the race. Looks better than these.

R8 n9 ACCREDITED Forward on map to sit 2d outside leader. 5th up off 28 days drops 2kg back to 1200m (-200m). Last start BM88 Randwick sat 2nd early on a fast tempo then took over in straight and bolted in by 3.9L at $1.70. Was a class above that field first time out to 1400m and is in the zone. Back in distance is not ideal after missing a run last Saturday but map suits here outside leader and he should be winning again.

BEST BETS

R10 n3 BONJOY Last start was off 35 day break due to hoof abscess, went back near last early on a fast tempo and unleashed in straight winning by 0.8L. Overall figures were excellent and she closed off with the 5th fastest L200m of meeting off the fast tempo. Quality mare can only be fitter today and well suited out to 1600m. Keen she wins again.
