Resumed off 140 days here S7 drew inside (not ideal down straight) went back to last on an even tempo and then held up at 400m, but still too strong late to win narrowly when unfancied in betting (2d horse there has won since). Overall figures from the race were rock solid and he had the fastest L200m of meeting despite being inside. Looks suited again and should be winning.
R4 n4 DECLICHY BOULEVARD Maps forward behind lead group. 3rd up off 14 days out to 1600m (+200m). Last start Caulfield G4 sat back 8th on a very slow tempo (unsuited) and ran home powerfully late beaten narrowly. Overall figures from then race was only plain but she did have a dominant L400m finish. She found the right part of the track that day and really attacked the line late. Lightly raced well bred filly in top stable proven and looks well suited out to 1600m off last start effort. Proven Heavy 8.

Rises in class today but gets 3kg weight drop and stays at 1100m. Leads/controls on map from inside draw and should be too good from there. Last start here 1100m led on a fast tempo and was too strong late winning in meeting best figures. Her closing figures there, were outstanding. Keen she wins.

R4 n3 SWIFT FALCON Gets well back on map from wider draw. 2nd up off 13 days drops 5kg out to 1600m (+180m). Resumed Flemington G4 off 99-day spell with 61.5kg and went right back early on a very slow tempo (not suited) and was way too good late winning by 0.8L That race was a lot weaker class than here, but it was a dominant win with 61.5kg in completely meeting dominant closing sectionals. Back on map today but really like him as a horse- he is the real deal.
R6 n2 SNOW IN MAY Back last on map. 3rd up off 14 days and looks well suited out to 1600m (+200m). Last start Randwick G4 drew inside was slow out and went back 6th inside on a very slow tempo in a race that was completely dominated by on speed runners. She was held up in the straight but was huge late when clear for 2nd to Autum Glow beaten 1.2L. Her closing figures were elite with a completely dominant L400m for the meeting. 1600m today is ideal but looks to be last on map in small field off a very slow tempo.
R7 n7 BELLA NIPOTINA Maps back near last in small field. 2nd up off 28 days drops 2kg and suited out to 1200m (+200m). Resumed here off short 70-day spell following an outstanding QLD Winter carnival campaign where she drew inside sat back 7th on winners back (I Am Me) and once clear in the straight she accelerated brilliantly to run 2nd beaten narrowly. Her closing figures there were typically outstanding. Impossible to oppose her- she is a freakish older sprinting mare.

Last start Eagle Farm drew wider was slow away and went back 8th on a slow tempo and was then 3 wide no cover from the 1000m chasing from the back. He ran 4th beaten 2L when was heavily backed late in betting. Tempo and race shape were against him there but closing figures were excellent. Out to 1600m looks to suit and maps a lot better today with J Orman back aboard and blinkers on.
R3 n7 IVERSON Maps closer today from draw in small field and out to 1600m. 3rd up off 14 days drops 4.5kg and well suited out to 1615m (+215m). Last start Gold Coast G4 drew wide and went back near last early on an even tempo ran home late for 3rd beaten 0.6L when very easy late in betting. His closing figures there were strong and out to 1600m 3rd up suits off a better map. Up from BM78 to Open Hcp but has powerful closing speed and is ready to win with 52kg.
R9 n9 TRIBECA STAR Maps back off midfield and suited from there late. 3a up off 21 days stays at 1200m. Last start Eagle Farm drew wide and went back near last on a very slow tempo-completely unsuited. He had to take off early from there and charged home late to run 21d beaten narrowly (winner on speed). Closing figures there were strong, but he just peaked on the line off that long sprint home. Race was not run to suit and his effort was excellent. Lot better suited here and can run these down late and win.

R7 n1 MALECON Found the line okay on debut for 5th over 1200m then stepped up to 1400m but went too slow outside the leader and got outsprinted when finishing 2nd. The step up to a mile looks ideal and gets a big jockey upgrade, can lead and win a very thin race.
