BEST BETS

R3 n7 ZLOTIES Maps back off midfield. Third up off 24 days rises 2.5kg out to 1400m (+100m). Last start this track drew soft sat back seventh on an even tempo and ran on powerfully late to win narrowly. Overall figures from the race were solid but she was completely race dominant late with 12th fastest L200m of meeting. She was similar late winning start prior with a massive finish against the track bias. Lightly raced talented 5YO mare in astute stable with excellent closing speed and can run over the top of this field late.

R7 n11 CRAIG Forward on map early to be behind the lead group and suited from there. Sixth up off 28 days drops 3.5kg and suited out to 1500m (+100m). Last start Caulfield G4 drew soft and sat seventh early on a very fast tempo but crushed them late winning easily by 2.2L when well backed. His overall figures from the race were outstanding with completely dominant closing numbers but he did have cover from a strong wind there in the run. He has to win this race to qualify for Group1 Toorak Hcp next start. Lightly raced 4YO with genuine talent and a powerful finish.

BEST BETS

R1 n3 KEEP ATTACKING has had zero luck last few runs and last start Belmont sat 3rd on a fast tempo and again was held up in straight but attacked the line late to run 2nd to Bondi Plunge beaten 0.5L. He ran the fastest L200m of the meeting there and the winner was wider in the straight with clear running and momentum. Keen he wins today off this map with clear air in the straight and soft track suits.

R6 n4 SIMPLY 4th up today and well suited out to 2200m. Last start here went back gth on a slow tempo and was caught flat footed in straight when the smart winner took off and went for home. Despite being hard to ride out in straight he still charged home late with 5th fastest L200m of the meeting. Nice horse and maps closer out to 2200m and should be too good for these.

R9 n1 ROPE THEM IN resumes off 111-day spell and great trial Sept 16 and is so well placed today in this class. Maps to be on speed where he will control the race and should be too good from there for these horses. Last prep went to another level, dominating in 1200-1400m races and is always strong late in his races. Keen he wins.

Race 10: 11* from 8,17,13

BEST BETS

R4 n8 UNUSUAL LEGACY Maps forward inside today from inside draw. 3rd up off 14 days rises 3kg out to 1900m (+100m). Last start here drew outside went back to last early on a slow tempo (completely unsuited) but charged home late against inferior opposition (BM88) to win easily 0.9L when heavily backed. His closing figures there were dominant for the race. Lightly raced 5YO proven on soft with outstanding overall record who has high quality closing figures and has always looked like a Group class stayer. Well suited again today staying in BM88 class off a positive map despite the 58kg.

R7 n4 SEMANA Forward on map early to be 3rd on an average tempo. Fourth up off 35 days drops 2kg and stays at 1400m. Resumed Randwick G4 off short break (QLD Winter Carnival) sat fifth and was keen there on a very slow tempo and ran fourth beaten 1.3L by Via Sistina when was well backed late. There were three high quality mares in front of her there in that race. Proven on soft tracks and at 1400m. This is an ideal race for her with 55kg off this map.

R10 n11 PHARARI Forward inside from draw to be on leaders back. 2ª up off 24 days drops 3kg out to 1100m (+100m). Resumed Sandown G4 drew outside barrier, crossed over and led on a fast tempo and bolted in winning by 2.8L at $1.50 in quality figures. Her L600m figures there were excellent off that tempo, and she had the second fastest L200m of entire meeting despite being eased right down last 50m. Has elite wet track form/figures. Inside map here is an unknown but has M Zahra and she just looks better than these.

Morphettville Meeting Selections

BEST BETS

R7 n1 AIR ASSAULT 4th up off 17 days and well weighted today after the claim back to this class. Last start Balaklava Cup drew outside (14) crossed and led on a very fast tempo but too strong late winning by 0.4L when heavily backed late. Figures there were dominant for the meeting, and he gets lead/control again today from the wide draw and should control this race from there. Better than these and keen he wins.

Toowoomba Meeting Selections

 Race 1: 6,9,7,8  Race 4: 8,4,1,9 Race 7: 6,13,12,8
 Race 2: 7* from 13,2,1  Race 5: 6,1,8,11 Race 8: 3,1,4,2
 Race 3: 1,2,7,4 Race 6: 1,2,5,6 Race 9: 10* from 4,13,12

BEST BETS

R2 n7 SET TO SHINE Continues to go from strength to strength winning 3 of her past 4 starts including her last 2 at Doomben in strong fashion. She has a great racing style and from the good gate will get herself on speed, gets in with a very light weight for the in-form Emily Lang and will take plenty of running down late.

R9 n10 TALK TIME Is a smart local horse building a nice record and looks set to peak at 3d run back from a spell today. He resumed with a strong closing 2nd over 1200m then hit the line well for 4th in inferior ground at Eagle Farm last start. Steps up to a mile which looks ideal on his home track and maps well on the back of a solid speed, can run over the top of them late to score.
