R1 n7 TENZING Maps well MF outside away from fence 4th up off 14 days rises 3.5kg (coming out of weaker Class 6 race) stays at 1600m. Last start won Doomben Soft 7 sat 5th from soft inside draw on a slow tempo but booming closing sectionals (L600m home was electric) won easily 2.4L and was well backed late $4.50. Maps well and proven on soft tracks- he has to be in finish again off that set up. Has come back a very much improved horse this prep.
R5 n16 EL MORZILLO Maps well forward inside behind the fast tempo here. 7th race start of 14 days out to 1400m (+200m) but was off 35 days prior to last run with winter carnival races here in mind. Last start Doomben Slow 7 sat 7th charged late beaten 0.4L by Bittercreek in the main lead up race for today. Has been screaming out for 1400m all preparation in my opinion (she has elite closing speed) and off the better map today she gets her chance to win today.
R6 n17 STEFFI MAGNIFICA mRaces closer to leaders today from this draw 2nd up off 14 days out to 1400m (+200m). Resumed off 77 day spell Doomben Soft 7 Group 1 went right back to 9th ran home strongly late beaten 1.5L by Bella Nipotina. She had the 5th fastest L200m of the meeting there. Stays at same weight today 2ª up back to much easier 3YO class race. Really good filly started last prep in a BM58 at Orange and finished it with a nose defeat at 1400m Group 1 Surround stakes (T Berry rode). Ideal race for her 2d up today with 55kg from the good draw and comes out of clearly the best lead up race.
R7 n1 I WISH I WIN Maps MF inside 3° up off 14 days out to 1300m (+100m). Last start was off 42 day break and dashed away straight looked all over a winner but nailed late by Bella Nipotina Doomben Soft 7 at $2.20. High class horse that will peak today out to 1300m with the blinkers on and happy to have L Nolen back riding- he knows him so well. We finally get him to a 3rd up run in prep- last time he did that he won a TJ Smith from last in huge figures. Good on all conditions but suited better today 3rd up with blinkers on and clear top pick. Last two 3ª up runs for him were elite wins in Group1 races.
R8 n18 AUTUMN ANGEL Maps very well forward inside behind leaders 6* up off 14 days out to 2400m (+400m). Was off a 35 day break last start Doomben Soft 7 and was back to 2000m(-400m) when went back to 13th charged home late beaten 1.1L heavily backed behind Tannhauser. Lot better suited today out to 2400m on the bigger track and M Zahra getting back aboard is a real plus. Proven on wet tracks and just has huge closing speeds once she gets out to 2000m+ and is capable of winning a big race in the Spring.

R4 n9 JEWELLERY Gets well back and wide early on map 3rd up off 14 days drops 1kg back to 1100m (-200m). Last start drew inside Scone Slow 6 went back to 7th ran home late off an even tempo for 3rd beaten 1.3L in only basic figures for the meeting. Resumed start prior 1100m Canterbury Slow 5 got back to last off inside draw charged late for 2d to Spring Lee in very good figures. Gets right back on map again back in distance but they can sweep home out wider late at this track and distance and she has elite closing speed when right.
R9 n15 MIRZANN Maps well forward behind leaders and off fence 3rd up off 14 days. Rises 1kg out to 2000m (+200m) which suits and stays in BM84 grade. Last start when 2nd up drew oft went right back and was strong late for 2nd beaten 1.5L well backed at $2.90. His closing speed there off a fast tempo was excellent and he was held up at 400m! Both Aust runs have been very good and back onto a dryer surface today out to 2000m is perfect.

R2 n1 EMIRATE Draws inside today so start is important for him at 2nd race start off 24 days rises 2kg out to 1300m (+300m). Slowly away on debut went back and too strong late winning by 0.8L well backed $2.35. Had huge closing sectionals winning that day with fastest L600/400/200m of the meeting. Runner up has been good since and looks suited out to 1300m off that effort. Maps 3P back inside and will need clear air in straight from there but looks better than

R1 n2 MASTER MAURICE resumes, was a strong Eagle farm winner 1st up last campaign and has come back well judging by his smart jump-out win here recently in good time, looks better than these.
R3 n2 THE RIGHT WAY is a highly promising staying type who won well at Ipswich last start over 1690m. Up in weight but is a big strong horse that will relish the extra distance, races well here and looks the winner.
