R1 n7 CARINI – Rolls forward to be up on a slow lead speed 3rd up out to 2000m (+400m) off last start 5th when 2nd up to Atishu beaten 1.2L at well backed $4.80. Had EPC in the run there on a slow tempo and was entitled to finish where he did, but he maps to get similar run again today in a much easier race with 54kg. Classy import now in second prep in Aust who gets control on speed, well suited out to 2000m with a fitness and map advantage over his rivals.
R2 n1 FISTSOFFURY – Maps well 3rd inside behind leaders 3rd up off 14 days rises 4kg stays at 1600m off last start 2nd behind star horse Another Wil beaten 4.5L. He sat 4th there on an even tempo in a very high rating race. Back to 3YO class off that run is a huge advantage to him. Overall figures are rock solid, maps well 3rd up for peak run today- clear top pick.
R7 n11 PEACE TREATY – Maps very well leading and controlling resuming off 77 days and two trials have been brilliant. High class filly that takes a step up in class here against the older mares but has a light weight, map favours and she should explode away from these early in straight and be too good with 52kg.
R9 n1 SIR ATLAS – Gets back inside on map but tempo up front will suit him late. Was a VG win there and followed a VG first up run beaten 3.8L by Shove Over who has won since. Huge run end of last prep here when closed off hard 1600m here BM78 beaten 1.1L- there was some genuine quality in that performance by him. He has brilliant closing speed this horse and with any luck coming to the turn today he will run right over the top of these late. Will win better races than this in the future.

R4 n7 GATSBYS – Great map 3rd fence with leaders back 2nd race start off 22 days drops 2.5kg out to 1200m (+100m) off debut win when sat 2nd on a Very Fast tempo and strong late to win a deep maiden on soft track. Form since from that race has been excellent and race rated best of entire meeting. That’s a sign of genuine quality in a young horse to do that on debut. Very hard to beat here off this map with any sort of expected natural improvement.
R5 n3 LINDERMAN – Very good map 2nd on leaders backs off only an average tempo 3rd up off 14 days drops 1kg out to 2000m(+400m) off last start 3rd to Think It Over beaten 2.5L in high rating race off a Fast tempo. He sat 2nd there on that tempo and was brave late when 2nd up. Gets J Mac and map favours on a slow tempo and finds the perfect race to get back into the winners list and soft track suits.
R6 n4 RED CARD – Leads inside on map on fast tempo 2nd up off 21 days (good trial Hawkesbury since) drops 3kg stays at 1100m resuming win here 1100m Soft 6 in good figures. J Mac rode that day and settled her back off the speed on only an even tempo and she rounded them up late to win well. The L600m there was excellent, and it was good to see her do that on a Soft 6 surface. Unbeaten this track/distance and clear top pick.
R8 n1 ZOUGOTCHA – Maps very well behind the lead speed today 2nd up off 21 days drops 1kg out to 1500m (+200m) off impressive resuming win beating Lady Laguna here at 1300m off a slow tempo on Soft 6 track which suited her. Dominant close there with outstanding L600 for entire meeting. Clear top pick this target race- very well weighted, gets great map and J Mac- not much else to be looking for in a bet.

R3 n5 NAVAL TRADER – Maps very well behind the leaders 3rd up off 14 days up 4.5kg stays at 1400m off last start 3rd when 2nd up behind Winston Smurfhill in high rating 1400m BM78 off only an even tempo. He had a race dominant close last start with an excellent L600m number for the meeting off a good tempo. Lightly raced and overall figures are VG for this race- back to BM70 class and peaks at 3rd run back today.
R5 n1 RAINBOW CONNECTION – Maps well today 5th up off 28 days and up 3kg stays at 1400m off last start 2nd to Tribeca Star beaten 0.5L Grafton at $5. Cops a hefty weight rise from there for being beaten but drew wide, went well back and then raced wide no cover the race but still had a huge L600 for the entire meeting with a powerful L200. All his figures have been very consistent and maps to get a lot better run today back on a dry surface. J Orman a key jockey change for him also.
R6 n4 TRANSATLANTIC – Maps well behind leaders 2nd up off 14 days drops 3.5kg out to 1500m (+100m) off last start resuming 7th beaten 3.1L here when went back to last on a VSlow tempo, over raced mid stages and was given zero chance of winning (leader/won). He was heavily backed resuming at $2.10 and that run has to be forgiven. Prior form last prep was all ok but he has been very disadvantaged in all four of his career runs by very slow tempos and over racing. Better suited today this tempo/map and top pick.

R6 n2 MISS SKYHIGH – the step up in trip suits and she gets a 2kg weight swing on Own The Queen in her target race for top stable, very hard to beat.
R8 n2 A LOT OF GOOD MEN – went forward from wide alley but got trapped wide the whole way when an unlucky 2nd behind Russian To The Bar over a mile at this track last start. Meets that horse 1kg better today, and the step up in trip is ideal, maps nicely this time and looks the winner.
